Counselling

Compassionate support to navigate life's challenges and improve well-being

How can counselling help?

Counselling is a professional mental healthcare service that supports individuals, families, and groups in navigating life’s challenges, improving emotional well-being, and building healthier coping strategies. It offers a safe, unbiased, and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, experiences, and goals.

Clinical Counselling at Coast Therapy Clinics

Working collaboratively with you, our counsellors help identify the roots of mental health concerns, understand their impact, and develop practical tools to cope, communicate, and move forward with confidence. You are always in control of the process — our role is to guide, support, and empower you every step of the way.

Counselling can be particularly supportive for those managing both mental health and chronic pain, helping you improve how you think, feel, and live even when symptoms persist.

Our approach is holistic and client-centered: we focus on strengths, build resilience, and tailor strategies to what matters most to you.

Who we are:

Coast Therapy’s counselling team includes:

  • Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) – Credentialed through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), RCCs hold a Master’s degree in counselling or a related discipline. They meet rigorous academic, ethical, and supervision standards and are recognized by most extended health insurance providers.
  • Registered Therapeutic Counsellors (RTCs) and Registered Professional Counsellors (RPCs) – Certified through the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT) and the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). These counsellors complete extensive counselling education and supervised practice focused on practical skills, relationship-building, and applied therapy.

Regardless of designation, all our counsellors are highly trained professionals who share a unified goal: to provide compassionate, evidence-informed care that supports mental health, emotional well-being, and improved quality of life.
