Counselling Approaches

Personalized treatment plans utilizing diverse, evidence-based therapeutic methods

Achieve internal harmony and emotional resilience through integrated care

Our counselors utilize an integrated approach, often combining multiple evidence-based therapies to create a personalized treatment plan. By centering your specific needs, goals, and preferences, we ensure that your path to healing is as unique as you are.

Counselling Approaches
Attachment Theory-Based Therapy

Attachment-based therapy focuses on how early experiences with caregivers shape the way we form and maintain relationships throughout life. When these early attachments are insecure or disrupted, it can lead to challenges such as:

  • Relationship difficulties
  • Low self-esteem
  • Chronic anxiety
  • Fear of abandonment

In counseling, you’ll explore how past experiences may be influencing current emotions and behaviors. Through a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship, you can begin to build healthier attachments—with yourself and others.

This approach can help with:

  • Relationship challenges
  • Unresolved trauma
  • Feelings of disconnection

Sessions often focus on identifying emotional needs, increasing emotional awareness, and developing safe relational patterns. Available both online and in-person, with flexible frequency based on your needs.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based therapy that views the mind as a system of different “parts,” each with its own thoughts, feelings, and roles. For example, you may have:

  • A protective part
  • A self-critical part
  • An anxious part

IFS helps you understand these parts and create internal harmony by connecting with your “Self”—a calm, compassionate inner core. From this place, healing and balance can emerge.

IFS can be helpful for:

  • Trauma
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Low self-worth
  • Inner conflict or indecision

Therapy may begin with mapping your internal system and building trust between parts and the Self. Sessions are available virtually or in person, and tailored to your specific counseling goals.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is a research-supported approach that focuses on the power of emotion in healing and personal growth. By working through emotions in a safe space, clients can develop greater self-awareness and emotional resilience.

Individual EFT supports clients in:

  • Identifying and expressing core emotions
  • Transforming negative emotional patterns
  • Building emotional strength and clarity

EFT for couples focuses on:

  • Strengthening attachment bonds
  • Enhancing emotional responsiveness
  • Resolving conflict through deeper connection

EFT is ideal for:

  • Emotional disconnection
  • Intense or overwhelming feelings
  • Relationship struggles
