Identify root causes of gas, bloating, and IBS with advanced testing
Talking about gas and bloating is embarrassing, but so is dealing with it every day. Many people think this is normal, when in fact, it isn’t! A complex interplay between your digestive system and your hormones, mood, immune system and even skin, exists when you are not properly assimilating your food.

There are several reasons why your digestion may not be top notch and at Coast Therapy Dr. Wendy or Dr. Jessica takes a personalized approach to each patient and their digestive concerns. After a thorough intake, and targeted physical exam, lab testing may be suggested along with other modalities such as therapeutic diets, herbal medicine, supplementation, acupuncture, injection therapies, and lastly prescription medication when indicated for more complex cases.

What is SIBO?
Approximately 84% of people diagnosed with IBS actually have something called Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. IBS, unfortunately, is a diagnosis of exclusion, given to those who have digestive issues where nothing on blood work or imaging is “wrong”. However, many healthy bacteria and yeast may be overpopulated, or in the wrong place(such as the small intestine), and are therefore creating unwanted digestive symptoms such as gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, excessive burping, heartburn and cramping.
